Thanks for that amp sleep without server sleep method. But if you are using IR Blaster, wouldn't Jason Holtzapple PowerSave plugin (http://ultratrendy.com:31888/slim/) accomplish this with a little less rigmarole? I use PowerSave with PeterW's PowerCenter plugin. The combination of the two turns my amps off after 20 minutes of idle time. SrvrPowerCtrl then steps in at 45 minutes and sends the server to sleep. Really, the three plugins seem to coexist and compliment each other nicely.
Also, I too have run into the disappearing settings page phenomena. And sometimes even killing he cache hasn't seemed to solve the problem for me. These days I'm suspecting bad or inconsistent line endings in some of the files. but I'll add your cache kill tip to the readme file.
