In short: Your player will not automatically move along with iPeng when you switch to SN but you will have to do that upfront. The reason is, that you might want to have different players on SN and SC. iPeng 1.2 will provide a better interface for this. For an SB3 you need to do this with the IR remote (or set it to use automatic updates in the player interface), an SBR should automatically update to the firmware version that belongs to your SqueezeCenter installation.
