I don't think that this is the problem. Certainly not in the latest

We get an output-buffer-underrun when there is still plenty of data in
the decode buffer. Either the decoder has stalled, or something else
(some other thread) is stealing all the CPU cycles in the player.
Each time the player is restarted it plays just a single (26ms) MP3
frame.
The time at which this happens (51 minutes) is similar to that from an
earlier log.
Running the numbers (117626 frames, 134,870,897 samples, c. 391,462,016
bits / 48,932,752 bytes) I see no -special- number.
At the moment I am at a loss.
Triode, do you think that you could try downloading one of these
problem streams and then playing it as a local file?
