Last night I upgraded SC to 7.3.3 including the corresponding firmware jump to v125. I have now listened to 2 iPlayer streams of over an hour each and so far no problems. In the log there are no more STREAMOUT messages, just lots of STREAMING :-)
So from my, user, perspective it all seems to be ok. If it stops streaming again I will switch on the logging and get back to you.
