As far as I understand, LightsOut is a full-blown energy manager which handles client connections as well as backup scheduling. I think LightsOut should be in charge and SPC could connect in as an extra client. If I had to design an interface, I would come up with three methods: - registerClient (inhibit hibernation) - deregisterClient (allow hibernation) - hibernate (request hibernation skipping any timeouts if possible)If a CLI was available, this could be simple, but you are probably right that it is not. I promise I will register in the home server forum, tomorrow, but for now I need to get some sleep.
