I'd be happy to incorporate any code they come up with...as long as it
doesn't interfere with SrvrPowerCtrl working on non WHS systems.

Another possible approach: SrvrPowerCtrl checks the status of all the
players (and other things too) once very minute.  If LightsOut would
rather get a "not idle" signal rather than a "idle" signal, we could
send one there.  Then, as soon as SqueezeServer is idle, LightsOut will
know about it and can start its countdown.  I think this might make the
logic a bit more straight forward and avoid the problem you point out
above.
