Another possible approach: SrvrPowerCtrl checks the status of all the players (and other things too) once very minute. If LightsOut would rather get a "not idle" signal rather than a "idle" signal, we could send one there. Then, as soon as SqueezeServer is idle, LightsOut will know about it and can start its countdown.
