Hi Stevecross

Wake on Lan should work WITHOUT having to download any plugins.

You don't say what particular equipment you have, eg Duet, SB3 etc or
your configuration, eg wired or all wireless?

You will need to make sure that there is at least one WIRED connection
to your receiver in order for Wake on Lan to work. (There are SOME
wireless adapters than support Wake on Lan, but these are still fairly
rare).

You then need to use the XP control panel to adjust the properties of
your network adapter to allow it to bring the PC out of sleep/hiberation
and then set your power settings in XP to send the PC to
sleep/hibernate

When setting the network adapter to allow it to bring the PC out of
hiberation you should tick the option to "Allow only Management stations
to bring this out of Hibernation/standby" to prevent random network
packets from constantly waking/sleeping the PC.

Hope this makes sense?
