Thanks for the heads up.
I tried the command and after complaining that YAML isn't installed
(which apparently is ok according to the script), it warns that
prerequisite Font::AFM and HTML::Element are missing. I hit yes and it
goes off to find them but fails to make - any clues?

I also tried just copying the CPAN modules to
/Users/andy/Library/Application Support/Squeezebox/Plugins/MHCPAN as
suggested at http://www.herger.net/slim/detail.php?nr=473
So far, thing works, I still have the HTML tags in by Biography
screen.
