If you can't push it that way, SrvrPowerCtrl won't be able to either.
But if a "regular" connection to mysqueezebox.com works, then I would try two things: In the SrvrPowerCtrl settings, try increasing the "MySqueezebox.com Delay time (seconds)" value in the "Command Tweaks" section. This allows the SBR to take more time to switch before the server shutsdown/hibernates.
