First off, verify that you can switch the receiver to mysqueezebox the
"regular" way...i.e. using the the SBC to push the receiver over. If you
can't push it that way, SrvrPowerCtrl won't be able to either. 

But if a "regular" connection to mysqueezebox.com works, then I would
try two things:

In the SrvrPowerCtrl settings, try increasing the "MySqueezebox.com
Delay time (seconds)" value in the "Command Tweaks" section.  This
allows the SBR to take more time to switch before the server
shutsdown/hibernates.

To turn on logging, in the web interface, go to
Settings->Advanced->Logging and switch SrvrPowerCtrl to "debug".
