I had a setting under the squeezebox icon in the tray at the bottom right of my windows 7. (not sure I'm getting the terminology right here). I went to show hidden icons. Found the little squeezbox symobol. Clicked on it and it had checked off "run at startup" or something like that. So this could be it !!!!
Think I'll try yet one more scan tonight. I'll let you know over the weekend if I'm back in business.
