You need to follow the instructions how to install the
SqueezeIR-applet.
At some time you will be asked to configure the SqueezeIR.xml-file.

In there you must put the codes your friend gave you. If you go back
the thread you will find some examples for this files - including also
a configuration with a Pronto-Protocol section. (The example from above
I took from 2-3 pages before).
