Answers in reverse order... spotifyd.exe is in C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins\Spotify\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread Non-standard install in that it uses "C:\Users" as the base for user account info instead of "C:\Documents and Settings". No I did not try the url you posted above.
