Pippin - I have now resolved this and all other problems noted in my OP. Issue 2 and the iPeng related WOL issue appear to have been caused due to corrupted formware on my router. Having reinstalled and configured my network everything is now working. However, this has prompoted a question about WOL on iPeng. At present iPeng will bring my system out of standby/hibernation when I open iPeng on my ipod or if already open when I power on the player via the player icon in iPeng. This happens regardless of the music source selected, i.e. if iPeng is set to use mysqueezebox.com it is still WOL'ing my server. (I have not upgraded my iPod to iOS4).
