Ok, this new log explains it a bit better, reading and parsing the tag
data seems to take about 2/100 of a second but writing the tag data
takes about 0.4 to 0.7 seconds. So this means that it scans just above
1 track per second which instead result in a scanning time around 28
hours or something similar. This is only for one scanning module, so
for both Custom Tag and Rating Tag that time might even be duplicated
in your library. There is also a risk these times varies a bit, I
suspect they are a lot faster in the beginning when there are little
data in the database and gets slower in the end when there are more
data.
Hopefully it gets a bit faster with the new my.tt file but it still
feels like this is way too slow to be acceptable.
It could be that I need to add or disable some database indexes
temporarily during scanning to improve the write performance. My
problem is just that I don't have a large music library to analyze the
changes with so unfortunately it might take some time to find a
solution for this. It's starting to feel like it's soon time to do a
complete re-implementation of the Custom Scan data structures, storing
everything in a single table obviously doesn't work very good in larger
libraries.
