I originally took on Softsqueeze as a stopgap until Squeezeplay became available and the officially support s/w player and then I expected Softsqueeze to fade away. Unfortunately Squeezeplay as a s/w player is not available but really supported so Softsqueeze is still around.
For a variety of reason I have not had much time in the last 12 months for any softsware developments and/or debugging and that included SBS related stuff. mkanet;568396 Wrote: > Issue #1: For local media, the first second or so of a song is cut off. > IIRC, this doesnt happen on classic squeezebox hardware clients; so, it > can't be a SBS limitation. Between 3.8 and 3.9 I looked at this issue (and some other associated ones) - IIRC it is a Javasound issue. Softsqueeze relies on JavaSound itself to determine whether the audio stream is a MP3 or Flac stream and this "goobles" up a number of audio samples. There were problems if Softsqueeze tries to tell Javasound the audio format which would avoid gobbling of samples. > Issue #2: For whatever reason.. the cute little Softsqueeze Java applet > that comes with Softsqueeze broke at some point in the recent past (It > used to work with Softsqueeze 3.6 and I think even in 3.7). I just copied the html files from the old Softsqueeze into the plugin. I never used the applet so I don't know how it is supposed to work. If you make changes to the applet.html file (found in InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Softsqueeze/HTML/EN/plugins/softsqueeze/html/) or rhe applet.html location to make it work; I'll include the updated applet.html file into the plugin. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
