Hi Erland,

I'm seeing the same or a very similar problem with dynamic playlists (I
ended up trying the plugin out on the weekend after discovering the
braindeath in the way the latest version of the server handles long
playlists).

Here is a chunk of diagnostic information:

- Dynamic playlists work fine provided I set "Random saved playlists"
to Ordered. Snappy response and well behaved.

- When I switch "Random saved playlists" to Random, everything goes to
hell in a handbasket. If I try to play any long static playlist
(1000+), my server goes into meltdown for about thirty minutes before
bringing up the playlist. At the end of this time, the playlist shows
on the web UI, but doesn't update properly, and player may hang (I've
seen the hang a couple of times, but haven't confirmed it happens every
time).

The key factor in this appears to be mysqld.exe hitting 50% CPU for the
duration.

I didn't do detailed testing on the following, but I believe this
applies even for shorter playlists, and turning on the dynamic playlist
random play also kills responsiveness in other areas of the UI, such as
reading log files (this one threw me a bit).
