Software players do not sync well because of clock - the h/w SB players have accurate clocks where PCs and other h/w equipment do not have good clocks accessible to player s/w. Muy understanding is that SB players report back the time to SBS when each audio sample has been played - from this timestamp SBS know whether a player is ahead or behind and so is adjusted but if the player clock drifts from the SBS clock then the sync adjustment also drifts. In the past users who have reported problems and tried fixing them, usually give up.
Normal library seems to work OK because at the start of each track the playback is resynced but with a streaming source there is no restart point. Have you tried playing with synced with a high speed streaming audio link - I think you will find it also drifts. I don't know how to adjust the sync parameters - hover over the "i" to get an explanations. You enable logging for sync functionality and look at the entries as it will indicates what sync setting values are changing over time. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35718 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
