Sounds like an install problem - do you have a Wave Input type in WebUI
Settings/Advanced/Filetypes and does it reference  wavincmd ?

Not sure where you got this idea from.  Non http streams work fine in
7.5.* and higher as long as there is a type defined for them.

Those log messages do not indicate whether the plugin has initialised
correctly or not, just that SBS found some HTML files and a Bin
directory. You need to enable the plugins own log message
plugin.waveinput set to DEBUG.
