I've just checked and both the PC and the OpenPeak ping a time server. I also noticed one was set to 12hr and one 24 so I set them to match. If that doesn't help I'll try changing them both to the same server, but on the OpenPeak it's hard to tell if it's actually making a sucessful ping to the server or not. No idea how to go about forcing frequent updates on either device.
The problem I had seemed to stem from buffering, but it's impossible to tell whether it's the server, the plug in, the network or the player. In desperation I've installed the 7.6 nightly, and re-installed wavin. Touch wood it's working nicely again.
