Sorry about that. Suffice it say I don't have a lot of extraneous plugins, and I even uninstalled a bunch. I tried squeezeplay and it suffers from the same issue, so it seems to be related to 7.6. For fun, I installed 7.5.2 on a different machine and the performance in iPeng when handling equal-sized playlists was an order of magnitude or 2 faster. The machine was a bit faster and the library was a bit smaller, but the difference was still striking.
