Have made quite a bit of progress. I updated the NAS firmware and the
SqueezeServer software on it, and that then updated the receiver and/or
handset.

New options like App Gallery have appeared.

I can now play live BBC stations through it, and I can play the music I
ripped to it as well.

I have one problem left - I can't connect to the SqueezeServer on the
NAS - 192.168.1.x:9000 hence I can't configure it for connecting to the
Apps server on the Internet.

I have tried with the firewall turned off to no avail.

So, this is a Netgear NAS running the latest firmward, a Duet Receiver
running the latest software and a PC running Windows 7 x64 with the
free AVG anti-virus. I am stumped as to how to find where it's getting
blocked.
