I'm still ripping my collection. A slow process. It's mostly classical and I have to manipulate almost every tag on every track to get it all to where I want to be. This means I'm doing scans regularly to get up to date with what I've done thus far. Your 12 hour custom scan sounds about the same as mine scaled up for the 2-3 hours it takes for (now) about 12,000 tracks. However, my straight SB full scan seems to be much quicker than yours. Maybe a difference in raw CPU/Disc power? (not that my PC is any great shakes). This makes me suspicious that something odd is happening in custom scans to make it use resources inefficiently (and periodically). -- PasTim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PasTim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41642 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85180 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
