I need to do it after every track, the reason is to at least make it
theoretically possible to stream music simultaneously. Streaming is
really sensitive to plugins that do long operations, so even one track
can be a bit long, especially on slow hardware.
If I would do 5 tracks at the time, the user interface would also get
very unresponsive during scanning, even worse than it already is.
The only solution would be to make it configurable so people with fast
hardware can let it do multiple tracks but people with slower hardware
can keep the current solution. I would consider that if 7.6 didn't
already have a solution for it, but since 7.6 will improve this a lot I
don't want to spend time making the current solution more advanced.
