Yes, you can always restore Playback for free as along as you use the
same iTunes account by "Purchasing" it again (the next version will
also restore it without that step).

BBC will work in the next release, but only if you use the AAC
streams.
For WMA you will need the WMAPlay plugin, iPeng does not natively
support WMA and that's probably not going to change soon if at all.
