LAME is an opensource project, and as such, differing people can
compile the code in differing ways, and have differing distrobutions.

in general, any lame.exe files SHOULD work for you.  the DLL is (to my
understanding) just a windows file that enables a GUI for lame options
in some apps, like winamp or EAC.

i use a 3.98.4 ver i grabbed somewhere, and its fine.
