I have just done a series of 5 repeated tests. The top-level folder order fault happened 4 times, and then did not happen on the 5th test. I told myself I must be going mad, so I ran another 5 tests (starting from re-establishing the connection to Whitebear). This time the problem manifested itself 3 times, but not the other 2. I'm baffled. On other occasions I have found it is wrong every time. The most likely cause of this would seem to me to be that there is something wrong with the Humax such that it does not always show the correct folder highlighted on the screen (so it highlights folder \country when it should be highlighting folder \comedy). It would be very hard to believe there would be a transient error of this type in Whitebear, particularly if no one else has seen it happen. It's (slightly) easier to believe that a combination of different timing or sequence using the up/down cursor isn't always reflected accurately on the screen. If you do get the flac to mp3 compatibility working for the Humax I'm not going to be too surprised if there are other problems. With UPnP in foobar2000 I can see the flacs, but they do not play properly transcoded to mp3s. Someone else on another forum has said that "The problem with your renderer is that it issues unusual (but valid) HTTP requests that are not supported by foo_upnp, when transcoding to mp3 (namely http range requests and HEAD requests). -- PasTim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PasTim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41642 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82399 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
