So if you want to totally disable the idle monitor in the current beta, you'll need to set the "Idle network IO threshold" (and on linux & osx the "Idle disk IO threshold" & "CPU load threshold") all to zero (0) as well as unchecking "Monitor Idle Squeezebox Players".
What setting do you have for the "Idle network IO threshold"? If it is zero, then something's not right and we'll look into this further. But if it is some positive number, then the idle monitor is functioning as designed and you need to set that to 0. Again, the rationale for this change is the new DLNA plugin in SBS 7.6. Under that version, we'll soon have players that aren't "players" in the usual squeezebox sense. The only way to detect those players is to monitor network I/O. Currently, SrvrPowerCtrl defaults the net i/o threshold to 8192. I picked that number for my own selfish purposes. It's high enough so that only streaming video triggers it. For DLNA streaming of audio, especially compressed audio like MP3, one would have to set that number much, much lower to achieve reliable detection. -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
