Err this is a slightly contentious point. Or has been frequently asserted that digital plus appropriate distortion= analogue. Although analogue fans dont think this is what they like, it is ( the argument goes). Many ardent analogue fans including the high priest Michael fremer admit that cdrs of vinyl capture most of the vinyl magic. If you are interested I suggest having a look at hydrogenaudio.
