Yes it's a limitation in SBS 7.5, we haven't found any way around it,
it works better in 7.6.

We haven't focused much on the performance side yet, so I suspect the
performance might not be optimal at the moment, but the intention is
that it should work better than Custom Scan did, especially since SMD
is based on a real data model and isn't just storing everything in a
flat table as Custom Scan does.
