On the phone it's just so hard to find a space... Also, as of my experience the connection gets lost a lot, usually you don't notice because iPeng just retries and since reconnection can be so fast it usually succeeds then. And since so much in iPeng works asynchronously it's a bit hard to determine that "now it's too long".
