I have come to the conclusion to give up un use in ALAC on my Squeezebox. Last night I converted all my ALAC (around 16.000) to FLAC (MusicMixer is still analyzing). It drives me nuts that apple still refuses to support FLAC but I won't change this. And if there is no support for ALAC-Files in MusicIP I can't force it either. So what's so bad about redundancy anyway :-) Now I have my iTunes Library in ALAC and my "Backup" for Squeezebox in FLAC. It's not that easy as 1-2-3 but I get the benefit of iPhone-Sync and MIP-Mixes. Case Closed.
