Via my Synology NAS I was getting a persistent "Problem: Can't open file
for:" message even though it would eventually play.
This coincided with me going from using the LMS Perl install via SSODS
to using Synology's own Package following a NAS upgrade.

I noticed on -Settings - Advanced - File Types- that AAC was ticked as
"Native". As the Duet cannot decode AAC natively I changed that to
disabled and then in -Settings - Advanced - BBC iPlayer- ticked the
"allow transcoding" box (which was unticked) and restarted LMS. This
was clearly still not working, however, as LMS was still dropping back
to using the WMA stream rather than transcoding the AAC.

I had read somewhere that the Synology package does not use Squeezebox's
version of FAAD, so I downloaded the Linux installation file from the
Mysqueezebox web site and unzipped it to a temporary folder. I looked at
the FAAD from the LMS Bin folder and it was 470KB compared to the
Synology one which is 49KB. Quite a difference!

So I copied the LMS FAAD file over the Synology FAAD (after taking a
backup of course) and restarted LMS. I am glad to report that it is now
transcoding 128kbps CBR AAC to 700 kbps FLAC. The sound quality is tons
better!

Thought it worth reporting this in case somebody else has the same
problem.
