The plug-in works fine for me and receives AAC and plays on my SBRs.

If I understand correctly, the plug-in is transcoding to flac on the fly
and, when my two SBRs are synced, it streams the transcoded flac data
twice, once to each of the SBR's IP addresses. (Perhaps someone could
correct me if I have that wrong.)

The iPlayer plug-in is set to 'prefer'

AAC -> Flash/AAC ->  Flash/MP3 - > WMA

and

"Transcoding" is enabled (ticked).

The server 'File Types' settings for AAC are

AAC: disabled
FLAC: faad/flac
MP3: faad/lame
PCM: faad
The server is running on linux.

If I want to 'force' the iPlayer plugin to (a) while continuing to
receive the AAC stream, instead (b) transcode to MP3 (say, 320kbps to
minimise further losses), how should these settings be adjusted? (I
want to temporarily reduce the data rate between the server and the two
SBRs.)

I have tried changing the FLAC setting to

FLAC: disabled

but it didn't seem to have any effect. Even after stopping the
broadcast, and re-selecting it. Do I need to also somehow restart the
plug-in, perhaps?

Apologies if this sort of instruction is already on a sticky somewhere
and I've missed it.

regards, Atlantic
