Yes the remote server is the current one.  And I am connecting remotely,
currently at work and without a VPN the only way to connect is
remotely.

Yes I have forced closed iPeng a few times trying to see if that was the
issue.

Just now, I removed the "local" server from my list of servers so that
only the "remote" one is avail.  Force closed iPeng and it still does
not see the iPad player.
