Well this is embarrassing. After further trial and error, I decide to try to change the output of the WaveInput plugin through. LMS > Settings > Advanced > File Types > WavInput. I could not find WavInput!
Suspecting that there might be a problem with the plugin, I disabled it, restarted LMS and re-enabled. All of a sudden... IT WORKS! Many thanks to everyone for their help!
