No. You might still need the power button and to get access to the player settings like Alarms etc. We had to make a compromise between easy accessibility of functionality and filling every available bit of space with features that meets any use case. A user interface is never a blank sheet of paper that you fill with configurable options, unfortunately, it's not as simple as that...
