Interesting :) Maybe because there is no ARM6 code anymore.

Same here, but that will come :)

No chance. Seriously. There is no way to change the font color on the
main menu. Not even in iOS 6. And black on black may be cool, but
then...

Yes. The problem is that the OS gesture recognizer overlays deeply into
the App's space. It depends on the gesture speed, though, the
notifications only act on pretty fast swipes.
My solution is to tap instead of swipe.
No chance to change anything. I can't influence the notification thing
and I can't put it at the bottom of the screen because the TabBar always
wants a full-screen layout.

Yes. I know. Happens to me, too. But again: no chance since the scroll
view in the center of the screen absorbs swipe gestures as does the
volume control. Now that you talk about it: I could still allow it on
the bottom control area, but that's a pretty limited space.
This has always been a bit of an issue in iPeng but I have no good ideas
how to change it, don't want to fill the screen with buttons again.

Was it maybe updating a long cache list? Can you see whether you are
having disconnect issues with the server? That would cause a lot of
communication and WiFi connection stability has gotten worse in iOS 6.
