In the neverending saga of trying to get the Spotify API working in some
form on a hard-float ARM OS, a guy called *polarsun00* has posted on the
Spotify community site with a "modified" version of libspotify which
looks to have had the ELF section headers altered (more specifically
".ARM.attributes") so it kind of masquerades as a hard-float version.

This modified library means that Spotimc (the XBMC plugin) on the
*hard[b]-float Debian-based Raspbmc for the Raspberry Pi (and I guess
any other hard-float ARM arch. OS) [b]works*!!

See here:

...and the original thread in which he says kind of how he did it (sadly
doesn't give too much away but I would have thought a proper dev. who
understands these things could give it a go?):
https ://github.com/mazkolain/spotimc/issues/48

All of this tinkering is really beyond me since I've tried to fiddle
with "objcopy" and also using "HT editor" etc. against libspotify.so.10,
spotifyd and spotifydnoflac to no avail...

Can anyone with a little more knowledge about these things give it a go?
I'd love to get LMS + this plugin working on my Pi (running hard-float
Raspbmc) since I could then shift my LMS server onto it too - already
have had LMS up and running side-by-side with XMBC with no issues apart
from the obvious lack of Spotify...
