Signal quality and connection quality are two completely different
things, unfortunately. One of my routers, for example, has a very spotty
connection that leads to a lot of reconnects; lossless streaming or
video are impossible. And that's completely independent of the signal
strength, it even happens only a few feet away from the router.

The reason I ask is that the current iPeng has a bug that can pile up
connection handlers which can slow things down a bit although 1-2s
surprises me (actually _all_ iPeng versions had this issue, but only
iPeng 7 seems to cause problems due to it).

I'll submit a fix in a few days but I want to be sure I'm fixing the
right thing...
