Hi pippin, I can confirm that iPeng volume increases by between 5% and 10% when it is re-opened.
As nobody else has mentioned the problem, I carried out a complete re-install of LMS 7.8 to eliminate anything I may have done on the server side. Over several days all control of LMS and Boom have been through iPeng. Would it be worth deleting iPeng from my iPad and re-installing to try eliminating anything I may have done there as well?
