ok - so here's what happened ... the internet was down for two days, but the internal network was still running the whole time. clearly the radio lost the UE Smart Radio service due to the lack of intenet access for a couple days. it DID show up as an "unconnected player" ... but I was able to connect it and had two squeezeboxes, my iPhone iPeng player and the radio all connected to the same server (I have two). I was able to stream locally stored music to the Radio and controll it just like any other player. I played a local file, an internet radio stream, pandora and mog ... all via iPeng on an iPhone with a UE Smart Radio. The last point is that this all ocurred AFTER I was able to restore internet access and was making sure everything was firing on all cylinders as my setup is rather involved and connects two locations together via VPN. This all happened about an hour after I restored internet access for this location after at least 48 hours wthout connection.
