Yes every controller like for example iPeng interfaces mostly with the
server and thus controll of any squeezebox is the same ( including third
party and software variants )

Ethernet works on both products , but Touch is easier to handle as it
has it own interface ( touch screen ) you don't need to configure it
trough the controller as you did with your duet . The settings are
aviable on its own screen so you can acess network settings all the time
.
