I've got plenty of EINTR events in my log using player.source debug
logging on my Linux system - and I don't have any problems. They occur a
couple of times per second. Maybe they occur much earlier and at a more
crucial time with psketch's cloud server. It is interesting that he says
he has the same problem with Linux on the Cloud VM as well though. So
probably not a windows specific problem...

I can't look now, but psketch, can you post logs of the same problem on
the Ubuntu version please - non-working non-uk Live stream and working
On Demand stream.
A log with both the bbciplayer hls and player.source debug logging at
the same time is probably the most help (and most confusing!). Separate
logs for the Live and On demand would also help separate the two...
