I don't know how many people use aiff. If it isn't common then I think you should go ahead with this version anyway, with warnings for those using 7.8 or lower.
As to which version of LMS people use, I think the plugin needs to be compatible with, say, 7.7 (with exceptions noted). Many (if not most) people value stability above most other things in servers. I'm a tinkerer, and on linux, so have gone with periodic 7.9 updates. That may be true of many linux and some other users on this forum, but is probably not true of those who rarely venture here. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to MF amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Minimserver (server) & upplay (control point) to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to speakers/phones. Wireless Xubuntu 15.04 laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver. Have a Touch with EDO, plus spare, but unused. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PasTim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41642 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102496 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
