So for a single Flac stream of 750kbps your Boom is OK. Depending on the router antenna design right up close to router can be a weak spot in signal strength - dipole (short straight antenna) have a doughnut shaped signal so there is a hole in the middle so right close to the dipole does not necessarily have the best signal. More likely is you wifi network as a whole is the problem - sending multiple data streams to sync players (as synced packets go in high traffic bursts) and it is possible another player has a bad signal , demanding retranmissions and affecting all other players.
