I finally was able to test with a single file flac where problems with
gapless playback would be noticeable (it's a live concert album). 
However, I still don't hear the gaps that you mentioned.  I am using the
latest version of SB Player that I brought out be beta last night,
version 1.3.1.  I made some tweaks to how the music buffers worked and
while I don't think the changes would have affected this problem, there
is still a chance that it might.
