I use GoldenEar, I tried FLACPlayer and didn't like it due to difficulties getting the files into my iPad (you had to use iTunes file sync, which at the time was strictly file by file no entire directories, don't know if it's any better now).
GoldenEar has a built in FTP server you can turn on/off in the App. So you can use your choice of FTP client to download FLAC files to it, I use FileZilla.
