My experience is now consistent with the above statement. However it didn't start out like that. Up until the end of last year I had a lot of problems streaming BBC DASH live streams through Phillipe's Castbridge plugin to Chromecast Audio devices. The live streams kept stopping after an indefinite period but the play it again streams, where they existed in DASH, were fine and if they didn't exist the plugin could be set to fall back to HLS or other streams. Despite trying several proposed solutions I ended up with the "stock" version of both plug-ins but something changed in the chain around the end of the year and now it is rock solid for both live and play it again streams.
