I was away for a few days just catching up. Owen Smith wrote: > "The Early Music Show" Radio 3 from Sunday has the same problem with > iPlayer. Thanks for confirming the problem is a general one. I initially thought BBC was trying to "force" DASH usage onto Web for some reason (e.g. testing multiple streams) but I now think the problem started roughly around same time as Flash/rtmp was removed from web pages and big change in the browser underpinnings. However since "dash" format is offered in the XML feed it seems it is a fault. The BBC have mentioned this feed was originally a sort of "afterthought" for vendors maintained by a 3rd party and updated the XML feed about 4 times / day rather than "live" using an API as in the Apps and Browser. So if this is still the situation it is possible the 3rd party hasn't done an update yet. The other possibility is that this XML feed is being deprecated in favour of NitroAPI but I don't think that is the case as usually BBC make that change of status self documenting in the feed. I have no way to contact BBC. However I know for sure a few vendors track this forum for BBCiPlayer so I would hope that once the problem is highlighted, vendors can reproduce the problem and then report back to BBC through their official contact. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
