Thank you both for your replies. After re-reading m1abrams post and then my original post I think that the thread title is ambiguous at best and misleading at worst; I was, as karlek suggests, only trying to alter what is displayed, and was very surprised that there seems to be no way of doing so (the Custom Clock doesn't seem quite appropriate, but thanks for the suggestion kerlak). I will try just once opening a thread with a new title and a slightly reworked opening post before I give up entirely.
